Far Cry 3 will return with it's amazing action packed series to a tropical setting, similar to the first Far Cry game. Come check out some trailers and pictures, which will make want to pre-order this graphically amazing game and wish you already had it in your hands.

Players will assume the role of Jason Brody, who has been stranded on an unmapped chain of islands. Jason’s friend has been murdered and he has been separated from his girlfriend. In his search for his girlfriend, he will have to deal with a wide cast of mostly unstable characters, who have been trapped on these islands for some time.

Developers have stated that the main character on Far Cry 3, “possesses a strong skill-set as a combatant and survivalist that give him a fighting chance in the desperate circumstances he constantly finds himself in during the events of the game”.

Ubisoft Developers have also stated that the intended tone of the game will be one of realism and intensity, in an attempt to invoke emotions with the constant feeling of danger in the player. By watching the Far Cry video trailers below, you will see what they are talking about.

According to Jason Vandenberghe (the game's narrative director), the story mode map will be around ten times larger than its previous installments. This means Far Cry 3 will still be an open world sandbox game, which allows players to choose when and how they want to complete missions, now at an even larger scale.

• An overhauled stealth mechanic
• A possible leveling system based on experience points
• Players will also have the ability to perform "takedown" abilities by performing melee attacks from above or in crouch mode

Far Cry 3 will be running on the same technology used for Far Cry 2, the Dunia Engine. In order to make the latest series of Far Cry look even more amazing then Far Cry 2, Ubisoft will be using an advanced water technique which will give an in depth experience to the Video game.

In the game trailer below, Jason interacts with one of the main characters, named Vaas, who gives an unsettling monologue about the nature of insanity before trying to drown Jason by tying him to a cinder block and throwing over a waterfall and into a pool of water.
