Apple introduces the new iPhone 4s and Siri, find out what it's packing
Apple has finally announced to the world, its next generation smartphone. It's not the new iPhone 5 everyone was expecting, Instead the new iPhone 4s was reveled. The new iPhone looks identical to its little brother, but with some tweaks, extra horsepower and something called Siri.
The camera in the iPhone 4s has now been upgraded to 8 megapixels, compared to the original 5 megapixels in the iPhone 4. The new CMOS backside illuminated sensor is said to receive 73% more light then the one in the iPhone 4. It also snaps pictures at apertures down to f/2.4, that means it can take sharper pictures in darker situations. The new camera now also records 1080p with real-time image stabilization and temporal noise reduction. All around this new camera sensor is amazing and a great upgrade to an already awesome sensor that is in the iPhone 4.
Apple has also improved its battery life, when compared to the iPhone 4. Usually more power equals more battery consumption, But the designers were able to keep the same sexy body of the iPhone 4 and also add more battery life. The antenna was also redesigned to have better cell reception. iOS will now be able to automatically switch between two different sets of antennas to receive optimal reception, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from just looking at Apples new smartphone. The design is exactly the same as the original iPhone 4, you will even be able to use your old iPhone 4 Cases on your new iPhone 4s.
The new Apple iPhone 4s will be available for pre-order on October 7 and start shipping out on October 14. In the United States, Apple has also added Sprint to the mix for both the iPhone 4s and iPhone 4. You will have the option to purchase the new world phone in black and white and also have three memory options to choose from. $199 for 16GB, $299 for the 32GB, and a new 64GB model for $399, the iPhone 4 will still be available at a reduced price of $99. All prices are on a 2 year contract.
