Sprint starts rolling out a security update for the HTC EVO 3D

If you're the proud owner of the HTC EVO 3D, you will be happy to know Sprint will be rolling out a security update for your device.
So you can either sit back and wait until Sprint reaches you for the update. Or if your impatient like me, you can check to see if you can manually update you're EVO 3D a couple days early by following Sprints instructions below.

Important Notes:
- Updates may be released in stages; if you do not receive a notification on your device immediately, please check back later
- Updates take approximately 20 minutes to download and install
- If the battery on your device isn't charged to at least 30%, connect the device to a charger before beginning the udpate
- If available, connect to Wi-Fi or 4G to apply the update
WARNING: During the upgrade process the device will reboot multiple times and show software upgrade screens. Do not remove the battery as this will stop the update and your device may be rendered inoperable! Do not attempt to use the device until the “Congratulations” screen appears.
Update your software:
Software will be automatically downloaded to your phone
1. A notification will be sent to the device prompting the user to install the update
2. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the update
OR
1. Go to the Home screen
2. Tap Menu > Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now
3. Tap OK to download any available updates
4. After the download is complete, you will be prompted to Install Now or Install Later. Select Install Now and tap OK to install the update.
5. A message will display indicating the update was successful. Tap OK to finish.
Check the software version on your phone:
1. Go to the Home screen
2. Tap Menu > Settings > About phone > Software Information
3. The build number and software number show the current version on your phone
