Apple has released OS X Lion today. You can download Lion at the app store on your mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Your Mac computer will have to be powered by an Intel core 2 Duo, core i3, i5 or i7 processor and also be running the latest version of snow leopard 10.6.8. The new operating system will cost $29.99 to download. Apple will also carry a USB version of OS Lion at the Apple store in August for $69. So it might be a better idea to just download it via the app store.
